Arthur G. Simcox Sr, Age 78, of West Milton, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1938 to the late Francis George & Dorothy Mae (Northall) Simcox. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 60 years Carol A. Janosko (Howard); 6 children Terri Raub of New Middletown, OH, Arthur G. Simcox Jr (Diane) New Middletown, OH, Gigi Simcox of Columbia, S.C., Jeffrey (Diana) Simcox of Brookfield, OH, Jodi Simcox-Nail (Norman) of Mandeville, LA, and Shawna Dillon of West Milton, OH. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister Dorothy Lodwick of Leesburg, FL; 2 brothers John (Sarah) Simcox of New Springfield, OH and William (Helen “Sue”) of New Middletown, OH and several nieces and 1 nephew. Arthur was retired from Whirlpool-Greenville, and formerly owned Art’s Gulf Service Station in New Middletown from 1969-1977. He also formerly worked as a crane operator from 1957-1969 at Sheet and Tube and also Price Brothers.  He played golf at Stillwater Ridge for many years, raced stock cars at Canfield Speedway and Sharon Speedway from 1961 thru 1979 and was Past Master of East Palestine Masonic Lodge #417 and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church-West Milton. Immediate family shared memories at his home on Thanksgiving and there will be a memorial service held at 1:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1209 S. Miami St, West Milton on Saturday, March 11, 2017 for friends and family. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton.
