Donald A. Brackman, Age 78, of Avon Park, FL, and long time resident of Englewood, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 13, 1937 to the late Alvin J. & Ella L. (Neis) Brackman in Kansas City, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents and sons Joseph, David and Donald Alan Brackman. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Patsy (Crump) Brackman of 58 years; daughters Kathy Brackman of Avon Park, FL and Rhonda (James) Morris of Los Osos, CA; son John Brackman of West Milton; grandchildren Brianna (Matthew) Morris-Brock of Austin, TX, Kurtis Brackman of West Milton and Kevin Brackman of West Milton; sister Margaret Coogle of Pittsburgh, PA; special friends Anna Mae and Jack Kroger, Bill Linthicum, Paul (Kate) Riggs and many other special friends at Reflections in Avon Park. Don graduated from Greenfield McClain High School in Greenfield, Ohio and The General Motors Institute of Technology in Flint, Michigan.  He was a Director of Engineering at Hobart Corporation in Troy and retired from Stein Manufacturing in Sandusky, Ohio.  He enjoyed his retirement at Reflections in Avon Park where he stayed active in many home improvement projects for family and friends. Don also enjoyed spending time with his family as well as golfing, fishing, and traveling. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Sunday, October 2 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2906 Sparta Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
