Donna K. Bachman

Donna K. Bachman, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Donna was born to Joseph and Velma (Brunk) Wernsman on July 6, 1945 in Germantown Hills, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her father Joseph and sister Loraine. She will be missed and remembered by her mother Velma; brothers Joe (Kathy) and Bill (Barb); her four children Patrick (Mary) Thornton, Vincent (Heidi) Thornton, Maria (Nathan) Garrett, Rebekah (Brad) Frost; seven grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Lillian, Allyson, Ellanah, Malaina and Cole and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed deeply by extended family and friends. Donna was a devout Christian with a deep understanding of the scripture. She led her family with strength, by loving fiercely, and setting an example for her children and grandchildren that will continue for generations. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid reader, loved to sew, knit, and crochet. Her greatest joy was being “Mimi” to her seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9-11 am on Monday, February 26 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton, OH 45383 with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. In lieu of flowers and because of her passion for children, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
