Dorthy M. Snyder, Age 93, of Union, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Brookhaven Nursing Home. She was born May 28, 1923 to the late Clifford & Hazel (Pence) Deaton in Champaign County, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband John L. Snyder and sister Bernice Heikel. She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Jack (Linda) Snyder of Dayton, Marilyn (Mark) Bernheisel of Lewisburg, and Barbara (Mike) Fuesser of York, S.C.; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and brother Alan Deaton of Lena. Dorthy was a member of Englewood United Methodist Church where she was involved with church activities. She also was a member of the Eastern Star in Urbana and loved playing bridge. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Saturday, April 8 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a memorial service to honor Dorthy’s life beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kim Armentrout officiating.
