Evelyn Jane (VanZant) Stine, Age 86, of Lucasville, formerly of West Milton, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017. She was born February 27, 1931 to the late Howard E. & Belle E. (Stetson) VanZant in Troy, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bill S. Stine; daughter Rebecca Lynn Stine; son-in-law Timothy Goines and brother Paul VanZant. She will be missed and remembered by her loving daughters Teresa Stine Goines and Elizabeth Stine both of Lucasville; grandchildren Natalie Goines (Alan) Barnett of Lucasville and Nicole Goines (Jeremy) Young of Columbus; great grandchildren Lauren and Adelynne Young and Nolan and Ainslee Barnett and brother Norman (Nancy) VanZant of Lynchburg, VA. Evelyn was a 1949 Milton-Union High School graduate and graduated from LPN nursing school in 1978 then went on to work at various long-term care facilities as an administrative assistant then retired in 1991 from Fairhaven Shelby County Home in Sidney. She also was a 50 year member of the Sharon Chapter Order of Eastern Star and member of Southern Ohio Medical Center Hope Guild and Pleasant Hill Church of God. Evelyn also was a volunteer in the SOMC gift shop. The family will receive friends from 11 AM- 1 PM on Friday, September 22 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Building Fund c/o Donna Holcomb, 2203 25th Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
