Jack E. Scudmore of West Milton, Ohio went to heaven to be with the Lord on April 9, 2018. He was born on April 28, 1945 in Oakland, California. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Hattie Scudmore, an infant brother and his brother Jon Scudmore. He will be deeply missed by his wife Ann Scudmore (Blackmore), sister Leah Dean, brother Jim Scudmore, his 6 children, Dee Ann Baker (Larry), Dawn Scudmore (Denise Schmitz), Jack Scudmore Jr., Dawn Cauldwell, Steve Goudy (Amy) and Brad Goudy (Erinn), 15 grandkids and 9 great grandkids. Jack proudly served his country for 14 years in the United States Marine Corps. He attained the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and served in the Vietnam War for 2 years. He was a former employee of Frito Lay where he earned the company’s highest award “The Ring of Honor.” Jack was the president of the West Milton Lions Club where he wrote the district newsletter and was the newspaper editor for the district committees and projects from 2017-2018, an adjutant of the West Milton American Legion, a member of West Milton Parks and Recreation where he was the member in charge of the 4th of July Celebration for many years. Jack was also an active member of Living Word Church where he served as head greeter. Visitation will be held at Hale-Sarver Funeral in West Milton on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM. The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 14 beginning at 10:30 AM with graveside services to follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. Memorial contributions may be sent to West Milton Parks and Recreation at the Municipal Building at 701 S. Miami St. West Milton, Ohio 45383 to support the 4th of July Fireworks.
