Joel David Mills, Age 28, of New Carlisle, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 24 at Soin Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1989 to Ralph David & Naomi Ruth (Klassen) Mills in Springfield, Ohio. He is preceded in death by grandparents Anne Klassen and Martha Mills, grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law Donald & Lillian Keller and grandfather-in-law Franklin Rupp. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Elisabeth Ruth (Keller) Mills of New Carlisle; children Ruth Anne, Elias John and expected baby Mills; parents Ralph (Naomi) Mills; father and mother in-law Mark (Barbara) Keller; grandparents Peter Klassen, Ralph L. Mills, and Lillian Rupp. Joel attended Clark State Community College and was a paramedic and firefighter for Greenville Township Emergency Services and Pike Township Fire Dept. He also enjoyed disc golfing, hiking, fishing, working on classic cars especially his ’78 Ford Cummins, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and brothers and sisters in Christ. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Grace Gospel Church, 12725 Wolcott Rd, St. Paris, OH 43072. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, June 28 at Grace Gospel Church. In lieu of flowers, a special fund has been set up through Grace Gospel Church.
