To the family of Toby known to me at birth as Travis. I am Toby's older sister only by one year though! Although I never got the chance to meet him due to circumstances out of our hands. I still know that God kept us close through spirit. I am grateful to you all for giving Toby the home he needed and upbringing he also needed growing up. I went through some similarities. I just wish that one day God will bring us together again. I love you my brother. I always have and always will. Till we meet again.

To Toby's family:

I did not know Toby personally but when I read his obituary and noticed how young Toby was, my heart wanted to reach out to you. I lost a son this year (age 23) and although I don't know everything you're going through, please know that our God certainly does. Words don't always heal and sometimes well meaning family and friends may not know what to say but when the whirlwind of life slows down, take a moment to find comfort in the scriptures.

The Bible teaches us that God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. (Job 14:14, 15) His Word, the Bible, gives us a wonderful hope, namely, the prospect of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28, 29)

I had the privilege of serving Toby at Riverside and RTI. He was so special to me..Never complained even on the worst of days..he holds an enormous place in my heart. He was the best. His infectious laughter could brighten any ones day. I'm sure he is truly entertaining angels now. Will be missed by so many. I know he touched many hearts in his life...as he truly did mine.

Debbie, Denise & Family of Toby,
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to know and care for Toby throughout the years. He was loved by many at UVMC. As a patient, he will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I am sure that Toby is now "normal" (as he wished for on the day of his passing) and finding enjoyment in doing everything he loved outdoors. Toby wanted to be "normal" but I believe he was a blessing to all of us and what is "normal" anyway. If anyone made it to heaven....it was Toby. Hopefully he isn't causing too much trouble up there ;)
God Bless,
Heidi RN
