Robert "Bob" Dale Puterbaugh
Age 91, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away March 26, 2024, at Randall Residence, Tipp City. He was born on January 23, 1933, on the family farm in Randolph Township near Englewood, Ohio and was the son of the late F. Harold and Beulah Puterbaugh. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1951 and volunteered with Brethren Volunteer Service in 1953 where he spent his service in Texas. He married his loving wife, Marcella (Wietholter) in May 1958 and setup residence in Piqua. They moved to Tipp City in 1960 where they raised their two daughters, Connie and Linda. He worked at various companies in the Dayton area as a computer programmer, retiring from Reynolds & Reynolds. Bob loved visiting their Tennessee cabin, working outside in his yard, and Reds baseball. He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren, most recently the Salem Church of the Brethren in Englewood. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marcella and their two daughters, Connie (Jeffrey) Sweet of Tipp City, and Linda (David) Hooper of Grove City, and three grandchildren, Chris Sweet of Tipp City, Michelle Hooper (Brandon Daniel) of Columbus, and Greg Hooper of Findlay. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Janakas of John's Creek, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 North Miami, West Milton. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 9:30-11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
