Christina Lynn Brown, age 47 of West Milton, suddenly passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017.  She was born July 21, 1969 in Dayton Ohio, the daughter of the late John R. Joseph and survived by her loving mother Martha (Marti) Ann Joseph and her loving husband of 24 years Robert (Allen) Brown and loving children Aaron J. Brown, Justin E. Brown, Corey A. Stephenson (Saran Ren) and Ashley N. Copple (Brad).  She is also survived by her brothers Ronald S. Joseph (Donna) and Douglas E. Joseph (Thom), her grandchildren Chloie and Brenden Copple and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

In grade school Christi learned to dance at Miss Carol’s dance studio in Englewood, Ohio and performed a memorable acrobat routine to an audience outside the Englewood Library.  In her first job serving ice cream at the Dairy Queen in Englewood Ohio, her effervescent personality made customers ask just for her to serve their ice cream.  She would later graduate from Northmont High School and Montgomery County Joint Vocational school earning a cosmetology license.  She worked as a hairdresser, and later a medical and orthodontist assistant. 

In 1993 she married Robert (Allen) Brown and soon began her most important occupation, mother to her beloved children.  After years of raising her children and managing her home, she went back to school, graduating with honors from Sinclair Community College nursing program.  She then began work as an RN at Miami Valley Hospital on the pulmonary care unit.  She was a past member of the Milton-Union Parent Teachers Organization and secretary for the Milton-Union Recreation Association (MURA).  Some of her hobbies included quilt making and sewing and she loved to play Words with Friends and Yahtzee with Friends. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton.  Funeral services will be held on March 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Hale-Sarver.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Christi’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MURA c/o Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home.  Online memories of Christi may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
