Douglas Allen Saunders, Age 66, of Laura, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born May 20, 1951 to James & Doris (Mote) Saunders in Troy, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father James Saunders; son Joe Saunders; daughter Lora Saunders; granddaughter Sierra Flanary and brother James Saunders. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Glenda K. (Hall) Saunders of 49 years; children Cindy (John) Kanet of Ludlow Falls, Pam (Tim) Flanary of Ludlow Falls, Doug (Michelle) Saunders of Dry Ridge, KY, Jeremy (Mandy) Saunders of Ludlow Falls, and Kathryn (Jerry) Eblin of Laura; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings Karen Rose of Laura, Bonnie (Terry) Barga of Nashville, TN, Kenny (Julie) Saunders of Laura, and Lonnie (Saundra) Saunders of Troy. Doug loved spending time with his family, hunting, farming, and wood working. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with Pastor Ron Evans Officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
