Eugene Charles Magato

Eugene Charles Magato, age 68, of Cincinnati, formerly of West Milton, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Bethesda North Hospital. He was born September 21, 1949 to the late Raymond L. & Volunta Mary (Hoelscher) Magato in Piqua, Ohio. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Cynthia M. (Trent) Magato of 43 years; sons Jay Magato of Springfield, William Magato of Cincinnati, and James (Jennifer) Magato of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren and brother Dale (Carol) Magato of Troy. Gene was a 1968 Milton-Union High School graduate and retired from General Motors. He loved golfing, bowling, fishing and camping, and was a Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He also dedicated more than a decade of his life to West Milton youth baseball programs. The family will receive friends from 10 AM- 12 PM on Monday, March 12 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 PM at Church of the Transfiguration, 972 S. Miami St, West Milton.
