Hildred "Sonny" McGhee

Hildred “Sonny” McGhee, age 83, of West Milton, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Koester Pavilion. He was born February 7, 1936 to the late Bailey & Bessie (Hatfield) McGhee in Shea, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Clara Prim. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Carmelita (Summers) McGhee of 59 years; children Ron (Sherry) McGhee of West Milton, Don (Tami) McGhee of Pleasant Hill, and Tyrone McGhee of West Milton; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings Hobart (Jewell) McGhee of Jacksboro, TN, Lula Bell (Jimmie Meredith) of Marietta, GA, Glenn (Brenda) McGhee of Farmersville, Shirley McGhee of LaFollette, TN, Margie McGhee of LaFollette, TN, and Patricia (Tinny) McGhee of LaFollette, TN. Sonny served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War and retired as an electrician at Yankee Electric in West Milton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to the coronavirus at Grace Baptist Church, 2500 St. Rt. 48, Ludlow Falls, OH 45339. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton.
