My name is Sandy and I worked at Englewood K Mart. I met your dad there and we had an instant friendship. He was one of the kindest people I have ever known. I lost contact with him when I retired and just decided to look on my computer for him. I told him about the free trip for veterans to go to the WWII memorial. He said he would be too much trouble for them to take him. I assured him that they did it for all the vets. Next thing I knew, I saw him interviewed on the news ! I was so happy. I just wanted you to know that he touched my life, and am so grateful to have been his friend. I am so sorry for your loss.

Although I can't be there , I will be thinking of grandpa and remembering the special things about him when I was growing up. He always had such a wonderful outlook on life and managed to make friends where ever he went. He is at peace in heaven. John, Kelley, Victoria, and Natalie Bliznak
