Janice Faye Meyer

Janice Faye Meyer, age 76, of Joseph, Oregon, formerly of Union, OH, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise, Oregon. She was born on September 12, 1942 to the late James R. & Viola (Brock) Doty in Dayton, Ohio. After attending Randolph High School in Englewood, Ohio, she married Richard Meyer in 1960 and started a family where she resided in Union, OH and San Marcos, CA. Janice and her family moved to Joseph, OR in 1985 where she began working at Pam’s Country Inn with her brother, sister-in-law and niece for several years then working at Joseph High School and owning several restaurants before retiring. Janice loved working in her yard but most of all she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; siblings Bob Doty, Don Doty, Jim Doty and Virginia Shultz; sister-in-law Nancy Doty, daughter-in-law Sheila Meyer; grandson Ozzy and beloved family friend Sandy Jared. She will be missed and remembered by brother Bill Doty of Joseph, OR; children Ron Meyer of Joseph, OR, Jim Meyer of Hermiston, OR, Jeff Meyer of Joseph, OR, Jeremy Jared of Cove, OR, and Becky Dockery of Enterprise, OR; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM on Wednesday, November 21 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.
