Joseph W. White

Joseph W. White, age 85, of London, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at The Madison Senior Living Community in London. Joseph was born April 22, 1933 in New Roads, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilfred W. & Chloe (Lefebvre) White; sisters Malane Collins and Joan Smith; and grandson John White. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 61 years, Janet J. (Verschelden) White; children Christopher W. (Angela) White, Joe W. White Jr, Patricia (John) Fimiani and Chad A. (Sarah) White; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; and brothers Louis White and Charles White. Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for over 20 years with a rank of Lieutenant Colonel during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Following his active service, he was employed in the civil service department at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was a pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in West Jefferson, Ohio for over 21 years before retiring. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:30 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Grace Gospel Church, 12725 Wolcott Rd, St. Paris, OH 43072 with funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. Memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, as well as a gift basket at the church for aids at The Madison who gave him their tender loving care.
