Lenora M. Martindale
Age 88, of West Milton, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born November 11, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents Charles & Velma (Hetzler) Lutz. Lenora graduated from Northridge High School class of 1948 and graduated from Edison State with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. On September 2, 1951, she married Kenneth Eugene Martindale in West Milton, and together they shared a life for over 68 years. She worked as a teacher’s assistant at Riverside School for over 30 years. She was a member of the UD New Horizons Band and attended Center Friends Church. She enjoyed watching Milton-Union Football, Ohio State University football and loved to bake and do crafts and school projects for the kids. Lenora will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Kenneth Martindale; daughter and son-in-law Yvonne “Pinkie” & Greg Kochersperger of West Milton; grandchildren Engrid & Bryan McNeil of Monroe and Liza & Jeff Curee of Union; great grandchildren Charleigh McNeil and Draven Lovell; brother Charles Lutz of Paulding. She was preceded in death by her parents; children Della Maxine Martindale and Charles Ronald Martindale; sister Shirley Applegate.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 12, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics.
