Lois Ann Melvin, age 70, of Iva, South Carolina, formerly of West Milton, passed away on August 9, 2017.  She was born on August 6, 1947 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Wilven and Cloeva (Hayes) Bledsoe. Lois is preceded in death by her son, Paul Melvin.  She will be missed and remembered by her husband Thomas Melvin and daughter Lorri Vo of Iva, South Carolina; grandchildren Kristin (Ryan) Eilliott of Brownsburgh, Indiana and Adam (Meghan) Vo of Vandalia; great-grandchildren Lily Sharp and Payten Elliott of Brownsburgh, Indiana; sisters Sue (Ronald) Dorsten of Beavercreek, Carol (Frank) Dressler of Dayton, Rosemarie (Ralph) Proctor of Union; brother Joseph Bledsoe of Hackett, Arkansas; and brother-in-law William (Carol) Melvin of Centerville. Lois was a life-time member of the VFW Auxiliary #6557 of Pleasant Hill and the American Legion Auxiliary #51 of Belton, South Carolina. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N.
