Miowne Helmick

M. Miowne Helmick of West Milton, age 91, passed away on August 7, 2019.  She was born on December 2, 1927 to the late Raymond and Lova Mae (Elleman) Puterbaugh in West Milton.  Miowne was a member of Covenant at Sugar Grove Church. She worked at the old West Milton Inn and volunteered many hours at Sugar Grove Christian School as a preschool teacher assistant.    She loved to roller skate in high school and in more recent years loved watching her grandsons play sports.  She loved God with all her heart and was a devout Christian.  She was preceded in death by her husband Esty Helmick; daughter Jean Ann Helmick; brothers Morris, Ned, and Dean Puterbaugh; and sister Linda Wion.  She is survived by her loving children Carol (Larry) Horn of West Milton, Jennifer Johnson of New Lebanon, and Robert Johnson of Troy; grandsons Roben, Wesley, and Aaron; and sister Mara Lee Rhynard.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Wheelock Cemetery, Nashville, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH  45420.
