Raymond L. Moore, of West Milton, OH, son of Virginia Moore, formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 20, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. Ray is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Lillian M. Moore and two daughters, Rebecca L. Johnston, Leigh J. Oldham of West Milton and five grandchildren Samuel Moore, Meghan and Aleisha Johnston and Dillon and Olivia Oldham. As well as family, Luke T. Vogt, Andi Denholm, Meghan and Jacob Vogt, also of West Milton and sister Rosemary Grube and husband Don of Johnstown. Ray graduated from Wilber Wright High School, going on to attend Sinclair Community College, University of Dayton undergraduate and graduate and law school. Ray’s professional career spanned more than 60 years within the federal, state, county and private sectors, with his last professional work as Mayor of West Milton, Ohio and former treasurer of Milton-Union Schools. Ray was proud veteran of the United States Air Force and during his enlistment was active in experimental flight testing and development. Ray was a Scottish Rite Mason in the Scottish Rite of Dayton. Ray will be greatly missed by his family, numerous friends and neighbors. As his family, we are grieved at our Dad’s passing, but celebrate the love and memories made as a Husband, Dad, and Papaw. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with military honors and funeral service to follow.
