William Artin Obituary

William Artin of Arcanum, age 64, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018, at his home. He was born March 2, 1954, in Syracuse, New York, to his parents William & Marie (Wysokowski) Artin. Bill graduated from Maryvale High School class of 1972 and earned his Associates Degree in Art from Villa Maria College, Buffalo, New York. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America where he achieved Eagle Scout and served as a Scout Master for many years. He was a member of the Transfiguration Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Marian Council 3754.  He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 41 years, Jeannine (Marshall) Artin; children and their spouses Lucas & Nichelle Artin of Vandalia, Maria & Brandon Eckhart of Cincinnati, and Josh Artin of Piqua; grandchildren Marshall, Graham, Lilah, and William; siblings Ken & Gail Artin of Ormond Beach, Florida, Philip Artin of Houston, Texas, and Kathy VanWay of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania . A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, June 11, 2018, at Church of the Transfiguration, 972 S. Miami Street, West Milton, with Fr. Michael Samala officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-4 PM Sunday at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 North Miami Street, West Milton. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Transfiguration Catholic Church. Online memories may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
