Wilma Marlene Oda, Age 98, of Arcanum, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Brethren Retirement Community surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 2, 1918 to the late William “Saylor” & Cora Belle (Besecker) Cool in Franklin Township, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Paul D. Oda; siblings Edna Cool Kress, Cleo Cool Swank, Bernice Cool Priest, Byron Cool, and Denley Cool. She will be missed and remembered by her children Arvilla (Jeff) Brandon, Stan Oda, Den Oda, and Lynn Oda all of Arcanum; 3 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Wanda Cool Swank of Greenville. Wilma was a member of Salem Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 26 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with Chaplain Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Arcanum. The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, June 25 at the funeral home.
