Alice Roberta Hiser

Age 79, of Ludlow Falls, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Brethren Retirement Community. She was born August 7, 1937, in Darke County, Ohio, to her parents Robert Harold & Treva (Schaar) Snyder. She graduated from Arcanum High School class of 1955. On June 20, 1959, she married Charles Hiser and together they shared a life for over 58 years. Alice worked at Joyland Restaurant as an excellent cook and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Brethren in Christ Church. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Charles “Chuck” Hiser; children and their spouses Ronda Sue & Raymond Lewis of Waynesville, Nancy & Jesse Sanders of West Milton, Steve & Addie Hiser of Bluffton, Indiana; grandchildren Benjamin, Thomas, Samuel, Desiree, Chantelle, Kylie, Ember; 8 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Thomas Bard; sister-in-law Patricia Snyder. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Douglas Snyder (Margaret), Fred Snyder (Dolores), Donald Snyder; sisters Betty Phillips (Thomas), Patty Williams (Mose), Grace Bard, Myra Sue Snyder. The family would like to thank the staff of the Brethren’s Retirement Community and Heart of Hope Hospice for the care they gave to Alice during her stay with them.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 South Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart of Hope Hospice, American Cancer Society or the American Society of Transplantation.
