Alice Marie (Fourman) Martin, age 86, of West Milton, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. She was born on August 18, 1939 in Arcanum, Ohio.
She worked at Wright Patt Air Force Base, Hobart Brothers Filler Metals Division, and Dr. Mark Bentley’s Dental Office. Alice was married to the late Merrill E. Martin Jr of Caro, MI for 48 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Leonard R. and Eunice (Phipps) Fourman; her husband Merrill; her sister Linda (Fourman) Sowers; brothers Gerald and Harold Fourman; grandson Nathan Timothy Martin.
She will be missed and remembered by her daughter Cheri (Rick) Sandifer of Tipp City; sons Bob (Jenn) Martin of West Milton, and Jeff (Shelly) Martin of Clyde, OH; 9 grandchildren, Amber (Mike) Robinson, Jamie (Nick) Langes, Marie (Kyle) Palmer, Sarah (Jamison) Shaffer, Stephen (Lindsay Howard) Martin, Clay (Brooke) Martin, Addie Martin, Brayden (Paige) Martin, and Delayna Martin; 2 step grandchildren Brandy Jacobs and Tana Mangas; 10 great grandchildren Derrec Sandifer, Jax Langes, Dean Langes, Connor Speers, Kate Palmer, Austin Martin, Caleb Boaz, Eden Martin, Cayden Martin, and Nathaniel Martin; brothers John Cox, Dewey (Penny) Cox, Bob (Marcia) Cox, Bruce (Kristy) Fourman; sister-in-law Kayetta (Welbaum) Fourman; brother and sister-in-law Frank (Margaret) Martin of Owendale, MI. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Alice loved traveling and was an entertainer performing as “Winnie Pearl” who lived in Grinder’s Switch. She graduated from Franklin Monroe High School in 1957. Alice was a member of the West Milton Nazarene Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, March 10 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ludlow Falls Missionary Church Camp.
