Ann Whitaker, "Mrs. Whit" 92, formerly of Union, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026 at her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Born in Wayne County Indiana on October 10, 1933, Ann lived a life centered on faith, family, and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Whitaker (Mr. Whit), and her son Tom Whitaker.
She is survived by her children: Mari Hayes (Grady), Dick Whitaker (Lorrie), Charlie Whitaker, Tim Whitaker (Missy), and Diane Tryon (Todd). Daughters-in- law Tammy Whitaker, Teri Whitaker and Connie Whitaker. She was a proud grandmother to Rick Hayes, Todd Hayes, Patrick Hayes, Crystal Reynolds, Sarah Flora, Katie Overholtz, Carly Whitaker, Andy Whitaker, Rachel Whitaker, Emily Jones, Joe Whitaker, TJ Whitaker, Anna Whitaker, Brooks Tryon, Whitney Tryon and 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Ann retired from EDS and worked at Parades in the Dayton International Airport. She loved spending time with friends playing bridge and rooting on the Dayton Flyers basketball team.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 10:15 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2026 in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton with a memorial gathering to follow from 11 AM- 1 PM at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. Online memories of Ann may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
