Aris B Stephens

Aris Beatrice Stephens, age 84, of Miamisburg, formerly of West Milton, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 17, 1941 to Harold P. & Thisba L. (Lane) Stephens in Dayton, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents Harold and Thisba; sister Gail Bussard; nephews Toby and Christopher Haas. She will be missed and remembered by her nephew David Haas; great-nieces and nephews; and special lifelong friends.

Aris drove school bus for St. Johns from 1961-1966 and for Dayton Public Schools from 1977-1982. She worked for McCalls (Dayton Press) for 21 years until it went out of business. Aris then transferred to Dayton Public Schools where she worked and retired in the operations department as a custodian after 19 years of service. She attended Ft. McKinley Elementary and was a proud graduate of the 1960 class of Fairview High School, maintaining close friendship connections over the years. Aris was a lifelong sports enthusiast and a lover of the outdoors, walking many years at the Englewood Dam, always picking up trash and aluminum cans. Aris will be missed by her family and many special friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM-12 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Five Rivers Metroparks or Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
