Bernie B. Fleenor, "Bud", "Smiley", "Pa", age 84, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at St. Leonard Rehab Center. He was born November 28, 1937 to the late William Elmer & Margaret Evelyn (Bledsoe) Fleenor in Keokee, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson Michael King and siblings Douglas Fleenor, Brenda Sieber, Larry and Lowell Fleenor. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Carol Ann (McBride) Fleenor of 64 years; daughters Sherry Stockstill of Trotwood and Debra Slusser of West Carrollton; grandson Kristopher (Amanda) King of Eaton; great granddaughters Melorien and Makayla King of Eaton; siblings Elizabeth Campbell of New Carlisle, Joyce Deaton of Pennington Gap, VA, Ann Davis of Big Stone Gap, VA, Bill Fleenor of Dryden, VA. and numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was known for his quick wit, humor and his ability to fix darn near anything. He held numerous jobs after moving to Ohio including Royal Crest Dairy, Lowe Brothers paint store, Bauer Roofing and Siding and NCR. He finally retired from being self-employed as owner/operator of The Black Smith Radiator Shop on Salem Ave. in Dayton. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
