Betty Jean Castle

Betty Jean (Hahn) Shaurer Castle, age 100, of Troy, formerly of West Milton, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Koester Pavilion. She was born February 25, 1921 to the late Elmer Ray & Ina Bertha (Stricker) Hahn in Darke County, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her first husband Walter Shaurer; second husband Calvin Castle; brother John Hahn and sister Pauline Kirby. She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Bonnie Jo (Dick) Sibert of Minnesota and Steven (Linda) Shaurer of Laura; 3 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Post 586 Women’s Auxiliary in Tipp City. The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura. Memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
