C. Steven "Steve" Chasteen

C. Steven “Steve” Chasteen, age 59, of West Milton, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023. He was born February 1, 1964 to Carl G. & Judith (Young) Chasteen in Dayton, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his father Carl G. Chasteen. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Cheryl (Perry) Chasteen of 36 years; mother Judith Chasteen; sons Justin Chasteen of Tipp City and Jeff (Bailey) Wood of Georgia; 4 grandchildren especially his grandsons Owen & Bryce; sisters Cathy (Bill) Schuck of Brookville and Darlene (Heath) Bennett of Verona; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Steve spent his life as a department head at Mosier Industries in Brookville and at the Lord Corporation. He loved his career as a machinist. He also was a member of Go Ministries Intl. in West Manchester, OH, where he also served as a deacon for 4 years. Steve was an avid bass fisherman and loved taking his boat to Old Springfield Rd. in Englewood. He also loved playing his guitar.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, April 19 at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N.
