Carol Ann Otto
Age 93, of Tipp City, formerly of West Milton, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at Otterbein of Tipp City. She was born October 1, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents Urban & Alma (Snyder) Zimmerle. On December 27, 1950, she married Ray “Skip” Otto in Dayton, and together they shared a life for over 70 years. Carol's zest for life was matched only by her love for baking and her profound artistic talents. Her artistic and creative touch extended far beyond the realms of her kitchen. With skilled hands, Carol produced beautiful baby blankets and ornate Christmas ornaments that became cherished heirlooms within her family. A loving mother and treasured friend, Carol will forever be remembered as the epitome of positivity. Her optimism was infectious, and she had an ability to uplift those around her, even in times of hardship. Her philosophy was one of hope, encouraging her loved ones never to lose sight of the silver linings and to embrace each day with appreciation and joy. Her legacy of love and creativity is woven into the fabric of every life she touched. She will be missed and remembered by her children and their spouses Jeff Otto & Renee Mote of Tipp City, Misty Turner of Tipp City and Joe Turner currently of Germany, Traci & Jeff Dietz of Tipp City; grandchildren Jesse Turner, Luke Turner, Sarah Turner, Makenzie Dietz, Jenna Dietz, Taylor Dietz; great grandchildren Brandon and Ethan; siblings Jerry & Marti Zimmerle of California, Margie Harmon of Dayton, Francy & Tom Vukovic of Oakwood; brother-in-law David Otto of Maine. She was preceded in death by husband and her siblings Tom Zimmerle and Jeanne Mauro. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 15, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
