Age 79, of Tipp City, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at her home. She was born December 19, 1943, in Verona, Ohio, to her parents Richard Franklin & Lois Iva (Bliss) Geeting. Carolyn graduated from Tipp City High School class of 1961. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing and card making. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband James Richard Oaks; children and their spouses Lisa Ann & Tom Bragg of Lewisburg, Thomas Richard & Michele Oaks of Oakwood; sister Phyllis Lamp of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister-in-law Everett & Carolyn Geeting. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 21, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with Pastor Dale Schaffer officiating. Interment at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
