Carroll “Wayne” Tracy

Age 78, of West Milton, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Randall Residence, Tipp City. He was born May 28, 1945, in Robinson, Illinois, to his parents Deano Maurice & Estalene Ozeta (Goodwin) Tracy. Wayne graduated from Robinson High School class of 1963, and earned his bachelors degree in education from Eastern Illinois University. He worked as a mathematics teacher at Mt. Carmel High School and later retired from Niehaus Lumber Company.

He was a member of the Hebron Road Church of Christ in Robinson, Illinois, and attended the West Milton Church of the Nazarene. The family recalls fond memories of his hobbies, his devotion to serving his church, and his love for his family.

He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Donna Jean (Prout) Tracy; daughter Pam and her husband Collin Painter of Venice, Florida; son Greg and his wife Tracey Tracy of West Milton; grandchildren Jaymen and his wife Sarah Painter, Bethany Joy and her husband Jack  Jean-Francois, Cara Painter, Micah Tracy, Levi Tracy; great grandchildren Calvin and Leo Jean-Francois; sisters Marlene Trocke of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Sharalyn Dock of Centralia, Illinois; brother Darrell and his wife Chris Tracy of Rossville, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Earl Tracy, Glenn Tracy, Ed Tracy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, April 1, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with a funeral service following at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM (CDT) Tuesday, April 2, at Mt.
