Charles E. Knepshield.
Age 88, of West Milton, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019, at Brookdale of Greenville. He was born July 13, 1931, in Middletown, Ohio, to his parents Russell & Clara (Long) Knepshield.
Charles retired from TWA as an aircraft mechanic.  He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Miami County Trap Shooters Club, Miami County Mounted Patrol,  and Miami Valley Rangers.
He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Elizabeth “Betty” (Sprinkle) Knepshield; children and their spouses Timothy & Marcia Knepshield of Union, James & Dawn Knepshield of Greenville, Julie & Winston Long of Richmond, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchild; brother David Knepshield of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Edna Kirby and Lahoma Jeanne Drury; brothers Thomas Knepshield and William Knepshield. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 21, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Charles was not a fan of ties so in honor of him, the family wants to make sure that no one wears a tie to the viewing or service.
