Cindy Lynn Johnston

Cindy (Mehl) Johnston, 61, of West Milton, Ohio, passed away on September 28, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 15, 1959, in Hamilton, Ohio. She will be forever missed and remembered by her husband of 20 years, Scott Johnston, son Ben Garrett (Becky), daughter Casey Garrett; grandchildren Matthew Garrett, Lydia Garrett, and Jase Rike. She is also survived by her mother and father, Jim and Joyce Mehl of Fairborn, sister Vikki Hill (Dave) of Springfield, OH, niece Aubrey Brugger (Chris) and nephew Dallas Hill (Courtney) both of Springfield, OH. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Studebaker, and her second husband, Donald Garrett, Jr. She graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1977 and was retired from Milton-Union Schools, West Milton, OH. Cindy’s family will be receiving friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 2. In lieu of flowers, one of Cindy’s last request was for people to bring a child’s bookbag with school supplies that will go to children in need in the Milton-Union School District. In addition, donations can be made in her name to Bulldog Bags (PO Box 93, West Milton OH. 45383), Outreach For Animals, Dayton OH (Outreachforanimals.org) or Hospice of Miami County, Ohio.
