She retired from Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 76 after serving as the head cardiac nurse. Even after retirement, Clara continued to share her knowledge and experience as a preceptor for nurses at Wright State University. She also quietly and generously assisted local people with home health care at no charge, offering her time and skill to those in need without hesitation or expectation.
Clara was a devoted Christian and a member of the Transfiguration Catholic Church. Her faith was a steady foundation throughout her life and was reflected in the way she treated others with patience, humility, and grace. She found joy in simple and meaningful things, including working on the farm, caring for her animals, and above all, loving and caring for her family. Her home and her heart were always open to those she loved.
