Clyde Mark Hershberger
Age 78, of Lima, was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 12, 2023, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born November 21, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Clyde Snell & Aurelia Bell (Seybold) Hershberger. Mark graduated from Milton-Union High School class of 1962 and earned his bachelor’s degree from Defiance College. He worked as the district director for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 33 years, was a longtime farmer and was inducted into the Allen County Agricultural Hall of Fame. He was an active member of the Union Chapel Missionary Church. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife for over 57 years Rita Rae (Foster) Hershberger; children and their spouses Traci & Tony Cox of Lima, Brian & Tina Hershberger of Lima, Tami & Brett Clum of Lima; grandchildren Nolan & Preston Cox, Blake, Jacob & Ethan Hershberger, Tyler, Carson, Ross & Miley Clum; brother Paul and sister-in-law Patty Hershberger. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Howard and sister-in-law Janice Hershberger. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, March 17, at Union Chapel Missionary Church, 4869 Ada Road, Lima. Interment will be held at Wheelock Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 2:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the church.
