Daniel Wayne DeLoss Gillespie, age 65, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on July 28, 1960, to Donald & Darleen (Anson) Gillespie in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He will be deeply missed and remembered by his loving parents and siblings Rhonda (James) Steck, Russell Gillespie, Donnette (Gary) VandeMeer, and Randell (Shelley) Gillespie; and his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Daniel was the ultimate University of Michigan football fan and avid collector of MI Wolverines memorabilia. Even though he spent most of his life in Ohio, he remained steadfastly true blue. Daniel attended Calvery Baptist Church. He fiercely loved his family.
A grave-side service will be held at 11:00 AM at Day Cemetery C Ave., Kalamazoo County, Ross Township in Augusta, MI. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Hospice of Dayton. Online memories of Daniel may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
