David Lee Hines

Age 80, of Ludlow Falls, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.  He was born August 23, 1939, in Ludlow Falls, Ohio, to his parents Roy Edward & Helen Francis (Mefford) Hines. On July 23, 1963, he married Karen Sue Bowman and together they raised their family and shared a life for over 56 years. David retired from General Motors. He served his country in the US Navy and was a member of the West Milton Masonic Lodge #577 F&AM. He loved hot rods and was a collector of guns and knives. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Karen Sue Hines; his parents;  his sisters Latrisha Hines and Mary Hines. He will be missed and remembered by his children Mark Hines of Arcanum, Michael & Linda Hines of Arcanum, Kathy Zellers of Ludlow Falls; grandchildren Danielle & Brandon Brooks of Bookville, Brittany & David Fisher of Troy, Justin Hines of West Milton, Bradley & Lyndsi Moreland of West Milton, Jacob Hines of Tipp City, Rachel Hines of Brookville, Gabriel Zellers of Greenville; great grandchildren Chloe & Sophie Brooks, Karson Stone, Katie Fisher, Stella Hines, Keegan Hillberg, Levi, Fynlee & Ellanore Moreland;  siblings Paul & June Hines, Richard Hines, Carl & Darlene Hines, Ronnie & Connie Hines, Dennis Hines. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Old Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. If so desired memorial contributions may be made Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Miami County.
