Dawn Ellen Oswalt

Dawn Ellen Oswalt, age 63, of Laura, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She was born June 8, 1959 to Marvin “Gene” Eugene & Treva Ellen (Kunkleman) Printz in Greenville, Ohio.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Brian Oswalt of 44 years; children Scott (Allie) Oswalt, and Courtney (Dustin) Vance; grandchildren John Jude, Raymond Eugene, James Dale, Michael Robert, Lee Brian Oswalt, Peyton Elizabeth and Addyson Dawn Vance; parents Gene and Treva Printz; siblings Deborah Weyrick, Daryl (Tammy) Printz, and Dana (Scott) Beeson; many nieces and nephews.

Dawn was an active member of the Potsdam Church of the Brethren; most notably she played the piano and organ for 45 years. She worked for Greenville National Bank for nearly 20 years, Financial Achievement Services for over 20 years, and was the fiscal officer for Monroe Township for 25 years. Dawn enjoyed traveling on cruise and golf trips with friends and on family vacations to Destin, FL. She loved tailgating with her husband, Brian, family and friends to The Ohio State Buckeyes football games. Dawn also enjoyed hosting family and friends for any special occasion but her greatest love was spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Potsdam Church of the Brethren, 22 Cross St, Potsdam, OH 45361. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, January 5 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pink Ribbon Girls or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Online memories of Dawn may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
