Derick “Steven” Smith

Age 63, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Kettering Health Washington Township. He was born November 22, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Herbert C. & Sharon L. (Foland) Smith. Derick graduated from Tipp City High School and worked at Cassanos Corporation. He served his country in the US Marine Corp. He was an avid reader of comic books and history books, enjoyed collecting comic book memorabilia, and loved to work, work, work. He will be missed and remembered by his aunt Barbara Foland of Troy; cousins William & Paula Parsons of West Milton, Douglas & Lori Parsons of West Milton, Kellie Parsons of West Milton. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 13, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Ehrstine Cemetery.
