Donald “Don” Beam
passed away at the age of 86 on November 30, 2025, at Upper Valley Medical Center. Don was born on August 1, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio. He attended Northmont High School, where the foundation of his admirable work ethic and skillful hands were evident. His career as a mechanic for TWA spanned 25 years, showcasing his technical expertise and unwavering dedication. Following his time at TWA, Don founded Beam's Garage. Here, he exercised his craft as a mechanic and a heavy equipment operator.
His work was paralleled only by his commitment to the Englewood Ohio Lodge 743 F & A.M, where he shared in the brotherhood and values of the Masonic order. As a Shriner, Don dedicated himself to fellowship and philanthropy, leaving indelible marks of kindness and generosity. Don's spiritual life found a home at the Ludlow Falls Christian Church, where he engaged in his faith with devotion.
A proud man, whose spirit was as robust as his hands were handy, Don was the embodiment of what it means to be spirited and full of life.
Don was preceded in death by his beloved companion, ReaNell Upham. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Jacque & Marty Howell of Laura; his son and daughter-in-law, Nick & Jessica Beam of Troy; his grandchildren, Jackson, Carter, Mason, Stephen, and Michael; and his two great-grandchildren, who filled his life with immeasurable joy and pride.
