Donald Rismiller

Donald Rismiller, age 80, of Versailles, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 1, 1942 to Lloyd & Mary (Armstrong) Rismiller in Versailles, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Suzanne (Howe) Rismiller. He will be missed and remembered by his sons Jeff (Holly) Rismiller of Versailles; Corey (Mary) Rismiller of Troy; grandchildren Kaleb (Jess) Rismiller, Janelle (Ben) Brown, Raven (John) Asbury, McKenzie Rismiller, Holly (Colt) Robbins, Jordan (Jackie) Helmer, and Zach Robbins; 12 great grandchildren; siblings James (Linda) Rismiller of Versailles, Nancy (Doug) Sanger of Versailles, Mike (Ruth) Oliver of Versailles, and Betty (John) Wagaman of Versailles.

Don left home at age 14 and got a job in Ansonia. He later worked at Stolle Corp for 35+ years, Motoman, as a manager at Scioto before retiring from Weaver Brothers. At the age of 56, Don proudly received his GED and later went on to get a degree in Hydraulics and Electrical Engineering. Don was a hands on guy. He was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Church, loved hunting especially bear and moose, fishing, being in the outdoors, and his family.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Pleasant View Missionary Church, 5231 Gettysburg-Pitsburg Rd, Greenville, OH 453331 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Brock Cemetery, Versailles. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Missionary Church or Charity of One’s Choice.
