She attended West Milton and Randolph Schools. She then worked at a card company in Dayton, until she met Carl. They were married on June 15, 1946 in Englewood, Ohio.
Carl built a house in Union, where they lived a few years, then to a farm on the corner of Fenner and Rangeline Rd, a few years and then to a farm South of West Milton, in 1955.
They had three children; Ronald, Carolyn, and David. She was a mother and housewife. She was a hard worker, and worked in the fields along with Carl and the kids. She always had a big garden and lots of flowers.
The family always took summer vacations and lots of fishing trips. She was a very giving person and had done many things for other people. Carl and Donna attended Fairview Brethren in Christ Church in Englewood. She participated in many activities at church. She taught Sunday School, was in the “sewing Circle”, and Cheer Committee. In 1993, they started attending the “1st Assembly Church of God” in Greenville, until 2019, 16 years. Then they attended Highland Church.
After Carl retired from GM, they bought a house in Long Key, Florida where they spent the winters for 29 years. They took the family there many times.
During the summer, they went fishing at Lake Erie, where they had a camper, and kept their boat. They took family and friends there many times. They caught lots of fish and gave many to their friends.
In later years, Carl and Donna enjoyed going to the “Bulldog Diner” in West Milton, for lunch and talking with friends there. They also liked to sit in their sun-room and watch the birds.
Mom missed dad a lot when he passed away. They were married for 76 years. Then she went to live with her daughter.
