Doris G Saunders

Doris G. Saunders, age 95, of Laura, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Hospice of Miami County. She was born April 30, 1928 to Harry H. & Goldie M. (Swank) Mote in Union Township, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband James D. Saunders of 50 years; children James L. Saunders, Karen J. Rose, and Douglas A. Saunders; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings Flo Nitchman, Floyd Mote, Mary Sowry, Ruth Hatfield, Max Mote, Wilbur Mote, Eugene Mote, Bruce Mote, and Inez Welbaum.

She will be missed and remembered by her sons Kenneth & Julie Saunders of Laura, Lonnie & Saundra Saunders of Troy; daughter Bonnie & Terry Barga of Laura; daughter-in-law Glenda Saunders of Laura; longtime companion Jay Dickie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, May 21 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Road 25A, Troy, OH 45373.
