Dorothy Arline Braswell (Nikki)

Dorothy Arline Braswell (Nikki) peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, March 27th 2025 at the age of ninety.  Nikki was born on January 27th, 1935 in Seattle Washington.  She was the daughter of Ken and Leone Thompson and the sister of Sharon Hulton (Dave), Helen Lawson (Ron), and Tom Thompson (Terry).  Nikki married the love of her life, Shirey (Mike) Braswell in August of 1955 and they enjoyed sixty-five years together until Mike’s passing in November of 2020.  Together they had five children, Dr. David Braswell (Rhonda) of Phoenix AZ, Kathi Ely (Roger) of Piqua OH, Karen Winkle (Major Rob Winkle USAF (Ret.)) of Phoenix AZ, Ken Braswell (Tracy) of Clayton OH, and Steve Braswell (Valerie) of West Milton OH.  Besides her five children, twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, Nikki’s lifelong passion was her relationship with Jesus Christ.  She was an active volunteer and member of Christian Life Center for over thirty-five years and enjoyed mentoring younger ladies, decorating, and sharing her faith.  She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed until we meet her again.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 1st, followed by a memorial service starting at 11:00 AM at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home 284 N. Miami St. West Milton, OH 45383. Online memories of Nikki may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com
