Dwight E. Black Sr, age 96, of Englewood, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 3, 1928 to Charles W. & Barbara Marie (Emerick) Black in Verona, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Virginia (Jones) Black in 2015; son Donald Black; son-in-law Randy Bishop; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

He will be missed and remembered by his loving children Sharon Bishop of Englewood; Dwight Jr (Sue) Black of Trotwood, Sheila (Jeff) Arnett of Troy; 11 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Dwight retired from General Motors after 41 years of service. He loved mowing his grass, woodworking, watching the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Football. He also loved sitting on his front porch and telling others about Jesus.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM-12 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM.
