Edith Marie Adkins 

Age 83, of West Milton, passed away Friday, January 12, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born February 25, 1940, in Logan, West Virginia, to her parents Ernold & Mildred (Prichard) Lewis. Edith worked as a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and loved helping others.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Johnny Chalmer Adkins; her siblings Ernold Lewis, Jr and Virginia Anne Horn. She will be missed and remembered by her  daughter Connie Louise (David) Barger of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.; grandchildren Christina Barger of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and David Barger of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sister-in-law Phoebe Lewis of Delbarton, West Virginia; sister-in-law Ruth Adkins; dog companion Lola.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 20, at Highland Memorial Gardens Chapel, 42 Highland Memory Ln., Chapmansville, WV. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM Saturday at the Memorial Gardens Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday at the Hale House, 320 N.
