Emily Goen Obituary Emily Cammer Goen

Age 33, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, at Ohio State University Wexner Center. She was born April 12, 1989, in Syracuse, New York, to her parents Christopher Scott & Vicki Elizabeth (Thompson) Cammer. She graduated from Weedsport High School class of 2007, and later earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Trevecca Nazarene University. Emily had an unassuming wittiness and a gift of the written word which led her to start her own blog. She was a big sci-fi fan, especially Star Wars. She loved to read and listen to funk and country music. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and started a business on Etsy called Hooks&Points. She also enjoyed watching NHL and going on drives. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband David Lynn Goen; her parents; siblings Andrew & Erica Cammer, Elizabeth & Justin Lasher; brother-in-law Jackson Riffle; grandparents Eleanor Thompson, Lynn & Jolene Shellenberger, Ronald Riffle; fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law Jonathan & Jean Riffle, Lance & Peggy Goen; nephews Jeremiah Lasher, Thomas Lasher, Liam Cammer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 7, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. Interment at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Move Along, INC, P O Box 83, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
