Enola Jane Compton

Enola Jane Compton, age 89, of West Milton, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 19, 1935 to John & Annabell (Shelley) Heaton in Laura, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband J.B. Compton; daughter Julie Robinaugh; siblings Mary (Willard) Clegg, Bertha (LeRoy) Wintrow, and Charles Heaton; brother-in-law Lester Fryman.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Mike (Cindy) Compton of Laura, Pam (Mark) Denlinger of West Milton, Jean (Richard) Burton of New Kent, VA, Jim Compton of Vandalia; son-in-law Bob Robinaugh of Centerville; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister Edith Fryman of West Milton.

Enola was a 1953 Milton-Union High School graduate. She retired as a manager at Sunset Cleaners and was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She also loved solving puzzles especially word and jigsaw.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Interment will be in Wheelock Cemetery, West Milton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter or Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
