Ernest John Jergens, Jr.
Age 75, of West Milton, previously spent time in Florida and the Turks, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. He was born June 4, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated Belmont High School and attended Patterson Co-Op specializing in machine trades. He was the owner of Jergens Tool & Mold. He attended the Shiloh United Church of Christ and enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling, euchre, traveling, boating and attending his Bible study group.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Cynthia Fay (Martin) Jergens; mother Gertrude (Fenneman) Holzen; step father Richard James Holzen; brother Harry Jergens; sister-in-law Marty Jergens. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Paula Ann (Tapper) Fox of Florida and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands; sons and daughter-in-law James Jergens of Erie, Pennsylvania, Robert & Sarah Jergens of Tipp City, Mike Fox of Providenciales; grandchildren Caleb Jergens of Burlington, Vermont, Sarah Jergens of Lynchburg, Virginia, Jacob Jergens of Chicago, Josh Jergens of Erie, Grace Jergens of Erie, Kelsey Wilson of Noblesville, Indiana, Michael Jergens, A.J. Jergens, Matthew Jergens, Audrey Jergens all of Tipp City; sister and brother-in-law Maryann & Ken Cantrell of Beavercreek; brothers Rick & Cheryl Holzen of Mason, Tim Sr. & Leslie Holzen of Troy; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 10, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Dayton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
